Francisco Del Carpio

Attorney Francisco Del Carpio is an expert in litigation, business and negotiation.

After working in various Dominican law firms, in 2000 he created his own professional office, Oficina Del Carpio (the Del Carpio Office). Ever since then, he has stood out as a strategist and tactician in structuring projects, a litigator and an expert negotiator.

Mr. Del Carpio has been a dynamic advocate of the emerging trust industry in the Dominican Republic as an information provider, educator and Director of the Ibero-American Trust Network. In the financial field, he also served as Legal Director at el Banco de Reservas de la República Dominicana, the country's largest multi-purpose commercial bank.

He has also been actively linked to the academic world as a scholar and lecturer in different areas of law since being awarded a cum laude law degree by the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University in 1993.

Francisco Del Carpio holds Master's degrees in Business Law and Real Estate Law from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, as well as a Master's degree in Private European and International Law from Panthéon-Assas University — Paris II (La Sorbonne), and a Master's degree in Tax Planning and Management from the Santo Domingo Institute of Technology.

He completed the Foundation Certificate in International Trust Management, a certification program provided by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Mr. Del Carpio also has a diploma in International Trust Management from the Panama Banking Institute, under the sponsorship of the Latin American Trusts Committee, and completed the Yale University Management Program for Lawyers.

Additionally, he holds a Master's degrees in Argumentación Jurídica from the University of Alicante and completed postgraduate studies in Constitutional and Administrative  Law at the Universities  of Buenos Aires and Salamanca, respectevely.

Mr. Del Carpio has taught at the Dominican Republic's leading universities as a professor in the Master's degree program in Real Estate Law at the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) — for which he was awarded the prize for teaching excellence in 2013 — and as a professor of Contract Law and Criminal Procedure at the Santo Domingo Catholic University.

He has been a speaker at various academic events organized by public and private entities, including the Trust Network of the Americas, the Monterrey Institute of Technology, the Federación Interamericana de Abogados (Inter-American Bar Association), the National Department of Real Estate Registration and the National Judicial College.

Mr. Del Carpio is a member of the Bar Association of the Dominican Republic an of the Red Iberoamericana de Argumentación Jurídica. He was a founding member of the Cluster Turístico de Santo Domingo (Santo Domingo Tourism Cluster).
